Providing quality healthcare to Ain Ebel and the surrounding
WPF intervention aimed at:
PROVIDING QUALITY HEALTH CARE TO AIN EBEL AND SURROUNDING
Ain Ebel is located in the South of Lebanon, 120 km from Beirut. Since 1987, this area has been struggling to have decent medical quality services. Thanks to the support of the Sisters of Charity (Filles de la Charité) and Oeuvres d’Orient in 2006 pursuant to the death of several wounded people in the absence of proper health care, Ain Ebel Medical Center was established.
Nowadays, Ain Ebel medical center is operating with minimal resources. there is an immense need for good health care quality services in the area. On December 2016, WPF inaugurated a cardiac ultrasound unit - T8 Vivid Cardiac Ultra Sound - at Al-Inaya Hospital in Ain Ebel, in the presence of His Excellency Tyre Archbishop Shukrallah el Hajj, the hospital director as well as prominent officials and distinguished attendees. This medical equipment will provide quality healthcare to Ain Ebel and the surrounding and will equally allow the hospital cardiologists to remain in their respective communities and improve the wellbeing of the inhabitants through accurate detection and treatment, when needed. WPF’s assistance aligns with its vision of “ensuring that the country remains the land of our roots, our sense of belonging and our future; and that it prevails as an ideal of tolerance, love and fellowship between all cultures, faiths and communities”.
