As for May 2018, Mr. Hawat has been serving as a member of the Lebanese Parliament, Mayor of Byblos, Mr. Hawat following a record breaking number of votes in the history of elections in his hometown of Byblos. An avid advocate for its citizens, Mr. Hawat was previously mayor of Byblos.

The World Patriarchal Maronite Foundation for Integral Development”. Established as a religious independent institution subject to the competent ecclesiastic laws related to the temporal funds for the church and religious waqef.
The Foundation aims at launching developmental, social, economic and educational projects in order to promote the active Christian presence in Lebanon and the Middle East.
